About Daisywine Consulting
As a certified executive sommelier, and professional wine consultant, I consider wine an art. Admittedly, I spend an excessive amount of time learning about wine’s history, chemistry, and complexities. However, as I started to learn more about wine, I noticed friends began to hesitate to bring wine to my dinner parties. They started feeling that I would frown upon their choices.
Interestingly enough, I have a friend who is a brewer and knows everything there is to know about beer. Yet, people weren’t intimidated to bring a new beer to his house. This perplexed me.
Why is wine more intimidating than beer?
We certainly could sit down and come up with a list of reasons as to why wine has developed a superiority complex. Though, instead of focusing on this, I designed Daisywine Consulting with the philosophy that wine should always be a welcoming and sociable experience. As a wine consultant serving the Denver and Boulder areas in Colorado, I’m here to help customers feel confident ordering a glass at a restaurant, choosing a bottle at a wine store, or even bringing a bottle to a wine tasting party hosted by a “wine connoisseur”.
Whatever your experience with wine may be, I encourage you to peruse my website, read my feature articles and sign up for my newsletter, or contact me for consultation for an upcoming party. Help us break the “snooty” barrier that surrounds wine so that we can all drink and be merry*.
Salute!
* Please drink responsibly. Know your limits; follow some basic guidelines when drinking: Enjoy your wine by sipping it, only accept a drink when you really want one and respect those who choose not to drink. Lastly, and probably most importantly, do not drive or operate other machinery while under the influence…
